The meaning of life

There is only one thing we all share in life. Death. No matter what you do in life you are going to die. So does it matter what we do in life we are all going to die. I think so. It's the same reason while some people decide to end their life while they are suffering. It's a lot better to feel good then to feel bad. The only feelings we feel should be good since they are the only ones we will ever feel. The meaning of life is to sit at a meal with a bunch of friends and family and tell all the stories you have. To me this is the most fun because everyone you care about is laughing and have a good time. We should feel a need to propel our future children and their children. We should want everyone to have the best time on earth.

  1. I liked this, because it offers a fun counter-argument to nihilism based on the same premise. We are all going to die and therefore what we do is essentially meaningless, so the nihilists advocate giving up and saying "fuck this", but you took a different approach. Death is an inevitability, so we should all be as joyous as we can be for as long as we can be. Right on with that happy mindset.

  2. That's a bit of an odd mindset.
In 5th period, we've been talking about being alone and how that can actually play out.
I've tried it before, and I don't think eating with friends or being around them gave me much meaning. Sometimes when you think about it, when you're having fun with certain friends, you forget about the friends that aren't there right? Does that mean you're meaningless or does that make us all alone in the end?
